The mission statement of Training Licensing Center is to offer convenient online and personal continuing education classes for your contractor license renewal. To provide exam preparation for State of Florida or Miami Dade County contractor licensing examination tailored to your specific licensing category.
Florida Contractor Exam Prep
Training Licensing Center specializes in providing live classes to prepare the participant to take and pass the Florida State and Miami Dade County contractors' license exam. Our classes are conducted by highly qualified instructors who are licensed Florida contractors with over thirty years of field and training experience in the construction industry. They know what to teach and how to prepare you. Training Licensing Center limits class sizes to promote more personal/individual instruction. Our in-house publications department continuously updates reference materials tailored to your exam study guides, so you can be sure of receiving the latest, most comprehensive and current exam preparation information available. Training Licensing Center offers live Exam Prep for most trades including General, Building, Residential Contractor, Underground Utilities, Electrical including, Limited Energy and Alarm Systems, Swimming Pool, Roofing, State Specialty Contractor, Solar, Plumbing, Business Law- Business Financial Management. Continuing Education
We offer online and live continuing education classes for your contractor license renewal. Our classes are intended to be educational and to fulfill all your required Florida (14hrs) and Miami Dade County (16 hrs) contractor continuing education hours. Our continuing education courses also fulfill the new requirement by Miami Dade County for initial license applicants seeking licensure for a non-examination category. (Please read below)
Miami Dade County Initial License Applicants (all non exam category licensure only):
The Construction Trades Qualify Board is now requiring as an educational prerequisite, that each individual making application for a non-examination category of licensure shall obtain prior to making application, 16 hrs of formal classroom training through attendance at courses provided by Miami Dade County approved course sponsors. This new requirement was effected on February 07, 2011.
Instructors
P. RAFAEL CORDOBA, P.E.
Registered engineer with the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, Certified General Contractor and Certified Electrical Contractor in the State of Florida. Mr. P. Rafael Cordoba has over 34 years of teaching experience preparing interested individual in passing their State of Florida and a Miami-Dade County contractor exams. He specializes in the technical portion of the exam for General, Building, Residential, Electrical, Alarm, and Plumbing Contractors. Mr. Cordoba holds a Masters Degree in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
