Test one for all construction certification categories shall consist of questions relating to the business and financial management of a contracting firm. The content areas to be covered and the approximate percentage to be assigned to each area are as follows:

  1. Managing Cash Flow
  2. Estimating and Bidding Jobs
  3. Negotiating and Interpreting Contracts and Agreements
  4. Processing Purchase Orders
  5. Controlling Purchasing
  6. Scheduling for a Contract
  7. Controlling Costs of Fixed Assets
  8. Obtaining Insurance and Bonding
  9. Complying with Contracting Laws and Rules
  10. Managing Personnel
  11. Complying with Payroll (Federal, State) and Sales Taxes
  12. Interpreting Financial Statements and Reports
  13. OSHA Reporting and Posting Rules

Examination Content Outline

The Test is an open book examination; however the student has to be able to locate within a short time the answers to the questions presented in the exam. This course is designed to teach the students how to navigate the reference books listed above and find the different topics which are outlined above, so that they may successfully pass the test.

The Score necessary to achieve a passing grade on all the construction certification examinations must be no less than a percentage of seventy (70%) out of one hundred percent (100%) on each of the required tests. If you want to obtain a Construction License in the State of Florida this is the course to start toward that goal.
